Frequently asked questions
Let’s address some common questions about what to expect from our sessions. The aim is to provide clarity and guidance, empowering you to make informed decisions as you embark on your journey towards healing and personal transformation.
Which counselling approach do you use?
Everyone is different. We are shaped by our socio-cultural-religious systems that impact our outlook. Rather than fitting everyone into one counselling approach, we seek to use the approach that moves you toward healing and growth. Good, effective counselling is the counsellor being the safe person and space for you to make sense of your life journey.
What do you specialise in?
We see clients with all kinds of struggles. Our speciality includes but are not limited to anxiety, depression, grief work, and trauma. We also help individuals, couples and family navigate through difficult and challenging interpersonal relationships.
Do you provide your services to those not of Christian faith?
Yes, mental health affects all humanity. Our clients include Christians and others of various religious backgrounds
What elements of Christian beliefs do you employ in sessions?
Faith is an invaluable resource to mental health and living. For those who are open to explore its efficacy, we may contemplate issues and seek understanding from a particular biblical narratives or from God’s viewpoint.
What is the procedure before our first session?
Once you have decided to start counselling, you will fill up an intake form that will allow you to share or elaborate your issue. The office will then contact you with an appointment date and upon confirmation, an informed consent will be sent to you. This document will highlight your rights and answer most of the questions you have about counselling.
