Telltale Signs that it is time to seek counselling or therapy

Life has a way of throwing curve balls that affect us emotionally.
Not every difficult emotion requires therapy/counselling, but here are some telltale signs that it’s time to seek professional help:

Persistent feelings that intensify over time.

Feelings that persist and intensify beyond what’s typical—sadness deepening into prolonged depression, anxiety that escalates rather than subsides, or anger becoming increasingly difficult to control.

Daily functioning being affected.

Daily functioning becomes challenging—difficulty getting out of bed, struggling to concentrate at work, withdrawing from relationships, or neglecting self-care, etc.

Strained Relationships.

Communication with others starting to break down, recurring conflicts, or patterns that keep repeating across different relationships.

Repetitive negative thoughts.

Past experiences casting long shadows—unresolved trauma or childhood experiences that continue influencing your present-day thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Normal coping strategies no longer work.

When your usual stress management techniques no longer help, or you find yourself turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms.

If any of the signs describe you presently, it may be beneficial for you to seek a counsellor and therapist to journey towards a healthier you.
